The group is composed of Junestar (Vocals, Guitar) Chris Jof (Lead Guitar, harmonica) Roger Martin (Bass, African wood talking box), as well as other amazing collaborators that are keeping the line-up effectual and ever evolving. June and the Pushas have a deep reflective sound with Soul and root sounds that are beyond prominent! The group enjoys listeners to decide on their genre, and love chatting about music and sharing the vibe. Soul Melodies with soothing tone, along with songs that have upbeat modern influence and overall originality are definitely some of the features this group brings to the pocket. June and the Pushas first appeared this October 2014, live at Jersey Ave. the city’s music festival performing on stage a full set that received a very positive reaction leading to a request for the very next day on Jersey City’s St. Peters College radio WRSP. Following their first radio appearance June and the Pushas were contacted by the legendary WFMU to stay the entire show and perform some tunes, a “ Magnetic electric set” from Jof and Junestar. Currently the band is cultivating a studio recording and “Radio Tour with June and the Pushas” parallel with a major instrument drive for economically deprived Jersey City schools.
