1. Introduction

SoundSwift respects the intellectual property rights of creators and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). This policy explains how copyright is protected across all platform features.

 

2. User Responsibilities

Users must ensure that all uploaded content—including music, videos, artwork, text, and metadata—is fully owned or properly licensed. Users may not upload:

- Unlicensed samples or stems

- Unauthorized remixes or derivative works

- AI-generated content imitating real artists without consent

- Videos containing copyrighted material without permission

 

3. Platform Rights

SoundSwift may:

- Remove or disable access to infringing content

- Suspend or terminate accounts involved in infringement

- Withhold payouts during ownership disputes

- Report violations to rights holders or authorities

 

4. Marketplace Protections

Users selling music must certify ownership of all rights. SoundSwift may request proof of ownership at any time and may remove products or restrict payouts if ownership is disputed.

 

5. Reporting Copyright Infringement

To submit a valid DMCA notice, you must provide:

- Your full legal name and contact information

- Identification of the copyrighted work

- Identification of the allegedly infringing material

- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized

- A statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate

- Your physical or electronic signature

 

Incomplete notices may be rejected.

 

6. Counter-Notifications

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification including:

- Your name and contact information

- Identification of the removed content

- A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was mistaken

- Consent to jurisdiction in the State of Georgia

- Your physical or electronic signature

 

7. Repeat Infringers

SoundSwift may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights.

 

8. Misuse of the DMCA Process

Knowingly submitting false claims may result in legal liability.
